Background Info: I am a New Media student at the U of L bridging on graduation. It is so close I can taste it, and the idea of moving away from Lethbridge after seven years here taunts me daily. I grew up in southern British Columbia in the West Kootenay rockies and hope to move back there once finished school. I would like to someday own my own media company, and pursue hobbies of filmmaking, dog training and dog sledding. Mostly, I would like to be a lazy hippie. During my education at the U of L I have become interested in filmmaking. I have been involved with a few projects, the most recent was a short called “Phil and Jenny” which stars two of this blog’s reviewers the wonderful Adam and Alex. I wrote (with help from Cam and Grant), co-directed, produced, edited, and more on this little short film which has surprised us by getting into several film festivals in the U.S. and Canada. We got funded to travel to Thunder Bay, ON which was a very enjoyable, educational, and inpsiring experience, and also travelled up to Edmonton to see the short in the Edmonton International Film Festival. It has all been a blast and has motivated us to work on more projects, currently we are filming another comedy short together. I am writing a feature film and working on developing several documentary films.
